ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION

Elektrik dağıtımı

Yalova Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone will provide uninterrupted and secure energy to all operating companies. In the medium and long term, the guarantee of uninterrupted energy supply will be managed through our own ‘Step-down Substation,’ where we will receive and provide electricity from a 154-kilovolt high-voltage line. Our industrial zone has currently allocated 1 Megawatt of energy; however, by anticipating the increasing energy demands of existing factories and the needs of newly established ones, we have increased the capacity of the power plant and allocated power up to 5 Megawatts to meet the operational electricity requirements of those in the first phase. We have received our electricity distribution license from EMRA (Energy Market Regulatory Authority).

Services Provided by the Electricity Unit

The Yalova Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone Electricity Unit carries out activities for the planning, operation, and development of the electricity distribution infrastructure to ensure that industrial facilities in the region have access to uninterrupted, safe, and efficient energy. The unit coordinates technical, administrative, and operational processes to maintain effective energy management in the region.

In this context, the main services carried out by the Electricity Operations Unit are as follows:

  • Planning, operating, and ensuring the continuity of the region’s Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electricity distribution system,

  • Carrying out failure, maintenance, and repair works occurring in the electricity distribution infrastructure,

  • Operating the boulevard, avenue, and street lighting systems within the OIZ boundaries, and conducting maintenance and fault-clearing procedures,

  • Technically examining and approving electrical internal installation projects prepared by participant companies during the building permit process,

  • Evaluating power demands and preparing energy permits to meet the energy needs of participants,

  • Checking transformer projects and approving them within the scope of technical compliance,

  • Carrying out temporary acceptance procedures for established transformer facilities,

  • Conducting control and compliance audits of electrical internal installations belonging to factories and other facilities,

  • Managing construction site and final electricity subscription procedures for participant companies,

  • Reading electricity meters and generating invoices regarding consumption,

  • Conducting studies to determine the most suitable electricity supplier in order to optimize the energy costs of participant companies,

  • Evaluating applications related to unlicensed production facilities based on renewable energy sources such as Solar Power Plants (SPP).

The Electricity Unit includes increasing the reliability of energy infrastructure, supporting energy efficiency, and encouraging sustainable energy use among its primary goals to ensure that industrial organizations can maintain their production processes without interruption.
