The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office aims to increase awareness and organize application processes locally through regional representative offices instead of establishing direct centers in regions outside of Ankara, with the goal of expanding intellectual and industrial property efforts across the country. Within this scope, the Yalova Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone continues its activities as the first and only OIZ to hold a representative office before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
Under the framework of the project, the representative office carries out information, guidance, and organizational processes regarding the patent, utility model, design registration, and trademark applications of companies in the region. It also coordinates applications for new collaborations and R&D projects that may arise in the field of intellectual and industrial property and leads commercialization activities. Through these efforts, the aim is to strengthen intellectual and industrial property awareness in the province of Yalova and to increase the number of patent, utility model, design registration, and trademark applications.
