ESTABLISHMENT OF INTEGRATED COMMUNICATION AND DATA INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEM: The Integrated Communication and Data Infrastructure System Project, carried out before the Ministry of Industry and Technology and supported by the World Bank, is designed to ensure that the multi-centered structure within our OIZ can be managed from a single center. Within the scope of the project, it was aimed to establish the communication infrastructure within the OIZ, integrate administrative and service buildings with social facility areas, and gather all systems under a centralized structure.
In this regard, the tender for the project was held on 07.11.2024, the contract was signed on 30.01.2025, implementation works commenced, and the project was successfully completed on 30.09.2025.
Through the fiber infrastructure created within the scope of the project, the information technology systems and data of participant companies have been gathered in a centralized structure. The data center within this structure is a critical infrastructure component that houses servers, networks, backup, and cybersecurity systems where companies’ digital data is securely stored, processed, and managed. Thanks to the data center, companies can access secure and uninterrupted services without making high-cost information technology investments within their own organizations.
With the implementation of the project, the fiber internet infrastructure has been commissioned, and data center services integrated with 5G infrastructure have begun to be offered to participants. Through the centralization of operations and equipment, companies’ technology management is supported from a single source by providing cost advantages, high security standards, sustainability, ease of use, and effective control mechanisms.
Furthermore, with the project, it has become possible to offer 1,000 Mbps fiber internet service to all industrialists across the OIZ at lower costs. Thanks to its non-regulated structure, price and tariff freedom are ensured, offering flexible and competitive solutions to participants. This newly established next-generation infrastructure accelerates the digital transformation process of our OIZ and contributes to the creation of a smart, secure, and future-ready industrial ecosystem.
DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION MATURITY ANALYSIS AND ROADMAP: With the project carried out to determine and contribute to increasing the digital transformation capacities of the companies in the region, on-site visits were made to 30 OIZ participant companies to perform Digital Transformation Maturity Analyses and prepare roadmaps. By using the TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE DDX Portal, the digitalization processes of the companies were examined, and topics suitable for digitalization were identified. The analyses of the companies were carried out by DDX experts, and recommendations were presented.
