Under the protocol signed with the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE), all facilities constructed within the Yalova Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone are ensured to be built in compliance with TSE Green Building Criteria. Accordingly, all building and facility investments in the zone are designed and constructed within the framework of these established green building standards.

Under the TSE Green Building Assessment System, facilities are evaluated based on criteria defined under the following categories:

  • Living Space Design (Yaşamsal Alan Tasarımı)

  • Environment and Occupational Safety (Çevre ve İş Güvenliği)

  • Material and Resource Use (Malzeme ve Kaynak Kullanımı)

  • Health and Comfort (Sağlık ve Konfor)

  • Energy Efficiency (Enerji Verimliliği)

  • Efficient Water Use (Suyun Etkin Kullanımı)

  • Operations Management (İşletme Yönetimi)

  • Prerequisites and Bonus Points (Ön Koşullar ve Ödül Puanı)

Based on the assessments conducted according to these criteria, facilities are awarded Green Building Certificates at three distinct levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

This model implemented at Yalova Machinery Specialized OIZ ensures the realization of environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, sustainable, and human-oriented industrial structures. Consequently, the industrial infrastructure is developed with a modern and future-compatible approach in line with the region’s environmental sustainability goals.

Our participants may also apply for alternative certification systems such as LEED, EDGE, or BREEAM based on their preferences; however, they are obligated to obtain at least the minimum TSE Certification and report it to the Regional Directorate.
