Smart OSB and Digital Communications Infrastructure

At Yalova Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone, efforts to establish a Smart OSB infrastructure are ongoing. The primary objectives are to support the digital transformation of industrial facilities, ensure the effective management of infrastructure services, and create a secure communication environment.

In this context, the Phase 1 installation of the high-capacity fiber optic communication network has been completed. The integration of systems that allow for the digital monitoring and management of infrastructure services is being implemented in stages.

The established fiber optic backbone not only meets the high-speed data needs of industrial facilities but also forms the foundation for intelligent systems that will eventually allow for centralized monitoring. Once fully realized, the smart infrastructure aims to provide centralized monitoring of electricity, water, natural gas, and other technical systems, ensuring secure and rapid data flow alongside advanced security solutions throughout the zone.

Upon completion of the ongoing installations, all critical infrastructure within the OSB will be monitored and managed from a single command center.

Key Ongoing Projects and Services:

  • Fiber Optic Communication Infrastructure: A high-speed, reliable, and uninterrupted fiber optic network is established and operational. Through this infrastructure, participants are provided with value-added services such as Metro Ethernet, Fiber Internet, MPLS VPN, and Dark Fiber.

  • SCADA-Based Monitoring Infrastructure: Work continues on establishing a centralized control system that allows for the remote monitoring and management of infrastructure systems, including electricity, natural gas, potable water, process water, and wastewater.

  • Automated Metering Systems (AMR): The installation of automation infrastructure for the remote reading, logging, and reporting of electricity, natural gas, and water consumption is underway.

  • Communication Systems: High-speed data transmission, corporate communications, and secure internet access are provided over the fiber optic backbone.

  • Security and Surveillance Systems (MOBESE / CCTV): Infrastructure projects are ongoing to monitor zone entry-exit points and critical infrastructure facilities via advanced camera systems.

  • Data Center Infrastructure: The data center installation has been completed, enabling participants to manage their IT infrastructure in a secure and scalable environment. Development is continuing in phases to offer services such as Virtual Data Centers (VDC), data replication, archiving, backup, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), business continuity, and disaster recovery.

Once the Smart OSB infrastructure at Yalova Machinery Specialized OIZ is fully operational, it will provide digital monitoring of all technical systems, contributing to a more efficient, secure, and sustainable industrial ecosystem. Its open and scalable architecture will allow for seamless integration with future technologies and digital applications.
