The reality of the changing world brought by 21st-century technology shows that simply being able to produce is no longer enough. In a globalized world and trade environment, creating conditions for faster, higher quality, and competitive production is an inevitable necessity.
One of the most critical needs is to realize local and national production at the common denominator of economic, social, and environmental conditions, and to train a national workforce capable of sustaining this production. Prioritizing vocational high schools, which will provide the human resources industrialists need to confidently continue production activities in a competitive environment, is a paramount reality of our time.
In this context, within the scope of the “New Generation Vocational High School” concept addressed with a Lean and Innovative OIZ approach, a protocol has been signed and announced in cooperation with Şehit Sercan Yazar. We have launched our efforts by determining the vision and mission of this job-guaranteed, new-generation vocational high school based on these results.
Beyond all physical transformations, we are carrying out rapid and student-oriented work from day one to ensure our students embrace the “New Generation OIZ” dream and feel a closer connection to the OIZ culture.
A new working model has been created to ensure that students to be employed in our OIZ master the primary production techniques of our industrialists, thereby increasing efficiency in production processes. In light of this vision, an “Applied Gamified Lean Model Training” classroom was established. Our esteemed teachers at the vocational high school have successfully completed theoretical training in lean production and lean thinking philosophy, as well as practical training at the Model Factory established within the school.
Visits are made to the companies where our students intern. Students are expected to make improvements in these companies based on the knowledge they gain through lean production training at the model factory, thus accelerating the transformation process. Within the scope of the protocol created with the goal of providing full-time employment guarantees in the production facilities within the OIZ, training is developed in fields/branches that support the cultivation of human resources as demanded by industrialists; these trainings are applied to all students within the school. Within the education plan consisting of Lean Model Factory training established within the OIZ, students are supported in completing their Skills Training Internships and Summer Internships at the production facilities opened within the OIZ.
In addition to their high school diploma, graduating students are awarded a Mastery Certificate. Those who successfully complete their lean training and earn a certificate of achievement are provided with full-time employment within the production facilities of the OIZ.
