The Innovation Program was carried out by the Yalova Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (Yalova OIZ) Innovation Center, established as part of the “Transformation of Organized Industrial Zones in Turkey” project conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The Innovation Centers Project in 4 pilot OIZs was implemented in Yalova OIZ as the first project supported within an OIZ still in the establishment phase.
The Innovation Program aimed to measure, analyze, and develop the on-site innovation capacities of Yalova OIZ participant companies. Reports were prepared for 22 measured companies, and mentoring, consultancy, and training support were provided to 9 selected companies to enhance their innovation capacity based on the measurement results.
The 4 Pilot Innovation Centers created a shared database using the iMAGE innovation capacity measurement tool employed within the scope of the program.
Under the project, the Yalova OIZ Innovation Center achieved the following:
The innovation capacities of 22 companies were measured and reported.
Mentoring, consultancy, and training were provided to 9 selected companies.
15 thematic training sessions open to general participation were conducted.
1,580 individuals participated in the organized training sessions.
2 international project applications were submitted.
More than 30 B2B collaboration meetings were held.
